Hi guys,

I am in the trying to organise a 3v3 events which will take place on a WEEKLY basis. Basically here is what I would like to do;

1. Players create a team amongst themselves
2. Limit for a team would be 4 ( To allow for people not being online on specfic dates )
3. Then we would head to Tat or any open world PvP area and fight each other to see which team wins.
4. It MIGHT be a best out of 3 or just the one time per week.
5. The teams that face each other will be based off a league table system, the same as football / rugby.
6. Prizes will be given out to the winners of the league every month & the runner up's shall receive prizes too.

* Prizes *

Would include such things as game time for three players for a month.
Credits
Other things I haven't managed to come up with specfic ideas but hopefully you get the drift.

I'd really like to make this a popular event and focus my time on making this happen.

Please will you guys give me your thoughts on not just if it's a good idea or not but how we could push this forward and start running this.

Thanks,

Nay

i think its a great idea, we can go from 1v1 to 4v4, diffrent leagues and such, might even have like diffrent weigh classes,
as ceturion gear class champ gear class and so on. random drawings for teams and stuff,
good way to learn to work with diffrent ppl. But all in all it sounds like a super idea!

Most likely Tears I'll be the major contributer i.e IRL money buying things.

Other prizes that we could use in-game I'm not to sure, but that can be discussed at any time.

I'd also like to say if anyone is willing to get involved then just give me a shout.

Excellent idea. Really good for keeping such a large group of people active, especially since the teams that are matched against eachother might decide the time for the match themselves if it's a serveral days or even weekly lasting tourney.

Nayballs - this is an excelent idea and you don\'t need to think you will be alone in contributing to the prizes. We should also have some bare-knuckle fighting with no kit!

Can I suggest you get Nem to put something on the MOTD to get people into the forum to read this thread.

I think 3v3 is a great idea. And I agree with Anfir on the weight classes.

If there are sufficient players to bracket the tournament into high gear and low gear players, an easy way to work out if you are high or low geared is to add all of the ratings values of every item on all 3 players of your team, if your team is below a certain value you are a low team, if you are above that value you are a high team. Or something like that.

Obviously that only works if there are tons of teams, as too few teams in each bracket wouldn't be much of a tournament. The other way to balance it would be to have teams that consist of high and low geared players, trying to average everything out. Just an idea.

How about a nice game of chess?

Hey Nayballs. I think this is a great idea. It should be fun :)
I would prefer the rewards to be in game items rather than free game time as this could get complicated and lead to misunderstandings.

Could you explain why this may get complicated and lead to misunderstanding?.

And yes the bracket sounds a good idea.
